The "Jules Voncken Prize" is awarded to the author of a scientific presentation, published as an article in the International Review of the Armed Forces Medical Services, official organ of the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM), or submitted as a poster during a World Congress of the ICMM.

The "Jules Voncken Prize" of the best article is awarded to the author of the best article published in the International Review of the Armed Forces Medical Services, during the period between two World Congresses of Military Medicine.
In 2009, Lt. Colonel Man Mohan HARJAI, of the Indian Armed Forces Medical Service, was awarded for his article: "Management of mine blast injuries in the northern sector of India"
The award was presented at the closing ceremony of the 38th World Congress on Military Medicine, held from 4 to 10 October 2009 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Best Poster
The "Jules Voncken Prize" of the best poster is awarded, each two years, to the author of the best poster presented during the World Congress of the ICMM.
During the closing ceremony, Major (Vet) Jean-Paul DEMONCHEAUX, of the French Armed Forces Health Service, was awarded for his poster: "Animal and public health risks generated by pathogens imported from operational missions: French approach of sanitary control plans", presented in the 38th World Congress on Military Medicine held from 4 to 10 October 2009 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
