PRELIMINARY NOTICE

15th international course on LOAC for the members of the International Committee of Military Medicine and 2nd Advanced Course on International Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC) and
Military Medical Ethics (MME) by the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM)

The Swiss Ministry of Defence and the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM) are organising their 15th International Reference Course on Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC) for Military Medical Officers from 16 - 23 August, 2013 at Spiez, Switzerland.

The course is under the auspices of the ICMM and the Surgeon General of the Swiss Armed Forces. It will be based on the same concept as in 2012, but adapted according to the suggestions of the course evaluation.

Course Language
The course will be held in French and English. Conferences of invited speakers are in English with a translation into French.

Course fee/paiement
In the price of CHF 1380.00 are included for 8 days / nights: 15 - 23 August, the hotel accommodation, food and non-alcoholic beverages: CHF 1300.00 and the course fee: CHF 80.00. Extensive course documents, cultural events and excursions with transfers are free of charge. Every country shall, in accordance with national regulations, pay the salaries, daily allowances and travel costs for its participants.

Participant and Candidate teacher
A maximum of 40 participants and candidate teachers will be admitted to the course. Enclosed you will find the application form.

Teacher and Referent
The course will be supported by a staff of international teachers and referents.

Working program
On a purely informative basis, you receive the provisional working program for this course, some changes being still possible.

Visa request
Be sure to make a request for the respective visa in good time. The secretariat of the Course takes contact with the authorities but does not occupy itself to organize the visas.
