PRELIMINARY NOTICE

The Swiss Ministry of Defence and the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM) are organising their 11th International Course on Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC) for Military Medical Officers from August 21 – 28, 2009 at Spiez, Switzerland.
The course is under the auspices of the ICMM and the Surgeon General of the Swiss Armed Forces. It will be based on the same concept as in 2008, but adapted according to the suggestions of the course evaluation.

Course Language

• The course will be held in French and English. Conferences of invited speakers are in English with a translation into French.

Course fees
Euro 850.00 (for 8 days) including hotel accommodation, food and non-alcoholic bev-erages. Extensive course documents, cultural events and excursions with transfers are free of charge. Every country shall, in accordance with national regulations, pay the salaries, daily allowances and travel costs for its participants.

Participants
• A maximum of 50 participants will be admitted to the course. Enclosed you will find the application form for 2009.

Expert teachers
• The course will be supported by a staff of international expert teachers.
