Tunisia has hosted the International Working Group (IWG) of the ICMM in Tunis on March 10^th to 12^th, 2009. The group meeting was convened by the Secretary-General of the ICMM, in order to work on preparing the General Assembly of National Delegates from the Member States of the ICMM, due to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, next October, and to reflect on the question as to what Member States can do to improve ICMM and to assist the Secretary-General.

Colonel (MD) LEMMENS, Deputy Secretary-General, Major General (MD, Prof) MERLIN, Chairman of the Scientific Council, and Air Commodore (MD) VAN LEUSDEN, Political Advisor, accompanied the Secretary-General of the ICMM, Dr SANABRIA.

Brigadier General (MD, Prof) CHEBBI, Chairman of the ICMM, assumed Chairmanship of the IWG.

Col KHOLIKOV, representing the National Delegate of the Federation of Russia/Vice Chairman of the ICMM, ensured the Secretary of the meeting. Col KHOLIKOV was elected to be the reporter of the meeting to the General Assembly in Kuala Lumpur.

The representatives from the following countries were attending the meeting:
Brazil, Peoples Republic of China, Cyprus, Greece, Malaysia (whose National Delegate is Vice Chairman of the ICMM), Federation of Russia, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Sudan, Sweden, Tunisia and United States of America.

The Tunisian organizing committee had managed an effective and warm welcome and proposed a high standard level for accommodation and meetings facilities, highly appreciated by all the participants.
