Health Care in Danger: Eurasia Regional Health Care in Danger Meeting

Health Care in Danger:

Eurasia Regional Health Care in Danger Meeting

3-4 February 2021

Dear HCiD Global CoC,

We are pleased to invite you to the Eurasia Regional Health Care in Danger Meeting and hope that you can contribute to promoting it through your networks with relevant stakeholders. The meeting is the first of its kind in Eurasia and is being co-organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross along with five partner National Societies from the region, the Belgian Red Cross, German Red Cross, the Italian Red Cross, the Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan and the Norwegian Red Cross.

The meeting will be held online on 3-4 February and be public, but registration based. You can link to the events page by clicking here and register to attend the whole event or just the sessions that interest you most. An agenda for the meeting is attached and will be updated regularly on the site. We will be adding information to the site progressively.

The meeting brings together health practitioners, researchers and academics, policy makers and those working in the humanitarian sector and its purpose is to share experiences and develop and reinforce local, national and regional partnerships to prevent and reduce the impact of violence against health care. Speakers will offer insights into a range of topics including practical measures being taken to enhance safety and security in healthcare facilities, legal and policy measures as well as examine the impact of the COVID19 pandemic on health workers and its implication in terms of violence to name a few. Those participating will also have an opportunity to engage with the speakers in the sessions.

This invite extends not only to you and colleagues in the ICRC and Movement but also to stakeholders in the countries where you work. We would be grateful if you could disseminate this invite widely in relevant networks.

Thanks for your continued support and contribution to making this event a major success.
