WELCOME MESSAGE

Dear colleagues and friends,

Under the auspices of the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM) and in collaboration with the ICMM Reference Centre for Training in International Humanitarian Law and Ethics, the Tunisian General Directorate of Military Health organizes the 7th Course on Law of Armed Conflict which will take place in Tunis, in the Training school of the Military Health Services (TSMHS) from the 2nd to the 6th of December, 2019.

This course focuses on the importance of medical ethics on the military field, the medical confidentiality and informed consent during conflicts and peacekeeping missions. The course highlights the dual duty of the health officer how to conciliate between human behavior at wartimes and the judicial proceedings of the war crime perpetrators.

This course is open for participation of health officers and military judges from ICMM country members. It will be led by Tunisian and international speakers from ICMM Reference Center in both English and French languages. It is supported by the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Tunis.

On this occasion, it's an honor to welcome you among us to take part in this scientific event.
