6th Regional Course on Law Of Armed Conflicts and Ethics

We are pleased to welcome you here at the Training school of the Armed Forces Health Service (EASSA) to take part in TUNIS 6th COURSE ON LAW OF ARMED CONFLICT that will be held in Tunis during the period from December 04 to 08, 2017.

This course, that we are pleased to organize in collaboration with the ICMM Reference Centre for Training in International Humanitarian Law and Ethics, has become an annual event for health officers and military judges to expand their knowledge and share their experiences in the field of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC). It is supported by many partners including the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Tunis.

This course offers the opportunity for health officers and military judges ICMM members to develop their skills in a specific area which is also the LOAC and where training is little available. Its objective is to sensitize participants in LOAC and make links with the specific missions of health services. It offers the opportunity to define the chances and limits of LOAC, identify and analyze current problems and challenges of LOAC as well as medical ethics in military operations and / or peace support and help find possible solutions. It encourages participants to recognize their responsibility in teaching LOAC.

The program of activities offers a scientific program combined theoretical and practical training with a total of 28 hours of instruction spread in lectures and workshops. A rich cultural and tourist program will crown this international event to associate training and exchange.
