MESSAGE FROM DIRECTOR

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

The Directorate General of Military Health organizes, with the collaboration of Faculty of Medicine of Tunis, its 3rd Course on Methodology and Medical Writing at the Armed Forces’ Health Service Training school (EASSA) in Tunis during the period from 30 March to 03 April 2015.

This course provides an opportunity for all those who have current studies or draft articles to develop their skills and to complete their work at the end of this course. This may happen with the support of the educational committee that will continue to surround the participants until the acceptance of their articles by a medical journal.

A limited number of places will be open to doctors, pharmacists, dentists and veterinaries in order to encourage them to publish and to increase the chance of acceptance of their manuscripts in international journals. The assistance will benefit from the leadership by a panel of military and civilian experts in methodology and scientific writing. The program is enriched by two conferences on the use of medical English and the particularities of the Military Medical publication.

The program contains 33 hours of training with a theoretical part on the concepts of the methodology and medical writing and practical workshops to familiarize participants with the use of SPSS software and transcription references in addition to the software application of the principles of writing in draft article submitted. At the end of this course participants can master the development of an epidemiological study, the use of principles style and format of scientific writing and IMRAD plan.

We invite wishing to attend this course to complete the pre-registration form available on the website www.cimm-icmm.org and submit draft articles or their problems and method of the current study judged publishable.

For more information, thank you to contact the Committee on the email address dgsante@defense.tn

The deadline for registration is February 28, 2015.
